  • Biography
I graduated with a PhD at the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosi (UASLP), Mexico. During the last 5 years I have been working carrying out X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). One of my projects on this area was with emphasis in transition metals and its oxides. Recently, I finished a stage as visiting researcher at EPSRC National Facility for X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy at Newcastle University, working on Angle-Resolved X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (ARXPS) combined with gas cluster ion beam (GCIB) developing a novel method for damage-free depth profiling for organic materials. During almost 3 years, I was working at IPICYT, Mexico, in charge of a XPS system, providing a specialized support for the data acquisition and analysis for research and industry. Currently, I am working as Research Professor in the Physics Department of the Universidad de Guadalajara. Besides the interest in areas related with my present work, also I am interested in the dissemination of science, through photography and digital media in which I have developed some projects.
